Discussion Overview: In this discussion, the common characteristics of a healthy work environment will be explored.

Discussion Prompt: First discuss which characteristics of a healthy work environment you believe are most important. Discuss how you would foster those as a leader.

Next, describe potential factors which may have contributed to an unhealthy situation or work environment you have witnessed or experienced.

Discuss the role and responsibility of the nurse leader in identifying, preventing, and mitigating the factors and propose at least two strategies that could be used to promote healthy personal and professional behaviors.
