Preparing Your Key Data Measurement Exercise

This assignment is for you to begin to gain an understanding of various key data measurements of epidemiology that will be used throughout this course.

• Write a one- to two-page summary answering the following questions:
• What are the main advantages of using each of the following types of data presentation: bar chart, line graph, and pie chart?
• Define what is meant by the term ratio. Compare and contrast rates, proportions, and percentages. Give an example of each one.
• Define prevalence and incidence. Give examples of each one. Describe the difference among prevalence and incidence.
