Identification and analysis of the thesis/argument and \/or main themes

An effective book review should contain the followings
1.) Identification and analysis of the thesis/argument and \/or main themes of the work. Does the author back up the contentions presented? Is it an effective argument? Whyor why nor?
2.) A short summary of what is contained within the book itself. This should be concise synopsis of the content of the chosen work.
3.) A critique of the work should be provided. What were the books faults or weaknesses? Also, strengths and positive aspects of the work can be presented. However, a good book review should be somewhat critical.
These criteria combined with a concise introduction and conclusion will successfully complete the assignment.
The length of the paper is not as important, but on average 3-5 pages. However, depending on how succinct the paper is, it could theoretically be less.
